After losing to end their winning streak and losing them one more game to the Giants, the Dodgers bounced back against the Reds in a game that was way too early for me to win 5-1.

It is not surprising at this point Max Scherzer has acted further and he was in by a little surprise of a bright spot. supports Gavin Luxwho continues his tears.

Scherzer started today with a 0.88 ERA in eight excellent starts with the Dodgers, including a 1.26 FIP. It’s ridiculous to say the least, and the amazing thing about it is that he just kept getting better.

Amusingly, he wasn’t even the hottest early on, giving up a walk and a single on the 2nd, a double on the 3rd, and another walk on the 4th, but he just destroyed to end the game. Scherzer withdrew the last 12 batter that he faced in another start without allowing a run: 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 7 K, 96 pitches.

The line-up got off to a bumpy start Sonny Graywho had three perfect innings at the beginning and was only able to resolve a perfecto with two outs in the 4th thanks to an infield single. But things started for the Reds in 5th Justin Turner Double started the rally and Chris Taylor on an infield single that was more of a mistake than Mike Moustakas threw it away to put two in the gate position.

That’s when Gavin Lux continued his hot season finale, tripling the right field line to overtake a pair. Later he scored with a grounder in front of the plate Austin Barnes to make it 3-0.

The 6th started with a Treasure turner infield single and a Max Muncy go, then a floor cornered the runners. Insurance was brought home after Taylor put a successful safety push to make it 4-0.

Jeff Hoffmann took over in the 7th and Art Gallery got the 8th, both scoreless innings. Amir Garrett tried to get the 9th but continued fighting, walking Barnes and giving up a single one Albert Pujols the glove from Moustakas, which prevented a double, and then gave up a single Mookie Betts that could have been a doppelganger if Pujols hadn’t run in front of him. 5-0.

Joe Kelly got a goalless 8th and Alex Vesia should have ended the game on the 9th with the same. With two outs, however, he issued a walk and gave up a single from Wall in Right, then admitted a Grounder Corey Seager was thrown in the dirt and could not be picked up by Muncy at first. That scored and brought out a run for the Reds Dave Robertswho turned to Kenley Jansen. You didn’t need any more drama in this game and he eventually got a prank to end it.

The Dodgers hit 95-54 a year, reducing NL West’s deficit to 1.5 games behind the Giants who play later today.

The series finale should be interesting with Clayton Kershaw Piggyback from Tony Gonsolin face old pain in the neck Wade Miley. It will be way too early again: 7:10 a.m. HT / 10:10 a.m. PT / 1:10 p.m. ET.
