Our data suggests that there are currently 35 hotel projects underway in Miami with a total of 9,162 rooms. We’re taking a closer look at these upcoming product launches.

Miami’s hotel openings per year

2021 will be a busy year with 13 hotel openings adding 2,370 rooms to Miami. Amid the well-known impact of Covid19 on hospitality over the past year, some of it has undoubtedly been pushed back from 2020.

Five properties will open in both 2022 and 2023, each offering 2,447 and 1,620 rooms. A further 12 projects with 2,725 rooms are already underway for 2024 and beyond.

The majority (28) of the 35 new hotels in Miami will be in the four-star segment, while only seven will be in the five-star category.

Miami’s Fastest Growing Hotel Brands

The TOPHOTELPROJECTS research team reports on it CitizenM plans to open three 954-room hotels in Miami in the coming years. This means that the ambitious Dutch company is claiming the award as the fastest growing hotel brand in the city.

His next challenger is by the way Radisson redthat will launch two new properties with a total key count of 338.

Top hotel projects in Miami

The 351 key CitizenM Hotel in the Miami Worldcenter is part of a 27 hectare mixed-use development in the heart of the city. The 12-story hotel offers breathtaking views of the city and also offers the brand’s technology-driven service. A 1,850 m² creative space on the tenth floor and an impressive public arts program should set this hotel apart from the competition. The opening is planned for the 2nd quarter of 2021.

In the middle of Miami’s arts and shopping district is the new one Triptych Hotel by Hilton – Curio Collection will offer 297 luxurious rooms with great views of the city. The hotel is located in a 20-story tower that also houses office, retail, and event space, as well as an expansive art gallery. The opening date will be announced.

Finally and early in 2023, Virgin Hotels Miami will include 250 chambers, a spa, meeting rooms, and a variety of F&B venues including the Signature Commons Club. Interestingly, the three-story patio roof will have a pool, lounge, and event space, and will provide a unique venue that will undoubtedly help attract the crowd.
