Riley Miller’s exciting summer continues.

The Kirby teenager’s most recent downhill mountain biking victory came in Mountain Creek, New Jersey on Sunday – the 16-year-old professional rider won the USA Cycling National Downhill Series # 2 crown.

The course was rocky, dusty and one of the most technically demanding that Miller has ever ridden. She felt strong in training and took first place in sowing on Saturday. In the finals on Sunday, Miller put in a solid run and took gold in the Junior Pro / Open category by over 7 seconds, her first victory in the National Downhill Series.

Miller, who drives for Liv Racing Collective, won a coveted national championship earlier this summer and won the 15-16 year old junior downhill title in Colorado. She also won the silver medal in the women’s Open / Pro class at the Red Bull Raw Slalom on Saturday, a neck-and-neck race on July 17th.

Miller will next be competing in the East Coast Junior MTB Championships in Blue Mountain, Pennsylvania this weekend. She will compete in both the enduro and downhill events.

Miller will then go overseas. Miller will spend five weeks in Europe on August 27th, participating in the Enduro World Series. Her travels take her to France, Italy, Switzerland and Scotland.
