COLOMBIA, Mon.- Every player who saw the pitch scored four in the double digits for the Mizzou Women’s Basketball Team on Thursday night as the Tigers scored an 87-39 win over Lindenwood at Mizzou Arena.

The Tigers had four players in the double digits, led by juniors Hayley Frank with 19 points when shooting 6-of-12 from the field with four three-pointers. Frank also registered eight team-level rebounds that went along with two assists and two steals. Behind Frank was another junior Aijha Blackwell with 14 points when shooting 5-out-of-10 from the field with six rebounds.

From the bank, the Tigers got a double-digit score from Redshirt Senior LaDazhia Williams and newbie Izzy Higginbottom. Williams had 12 points in 12 minutes of shooting 5-of-6 from the field with three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Higginbottom had an outstanding performance for the Tigers, scoring 13 points with two threes in 24 minutes. The Freshman Guard scored six of their 13 points in the second quarter.

As a team, Mizzou shot 50 percent out of the field and was 9 out of 20 behind the three-point line. The Tigers outperformed Lindenwood 42-27 and had a 13-7 lead on the offensive glass. Mizzou was strong on the defensive end of the floor, forcing Lindenwood to commit 23 ball losses and score 25 points from those ball losses.

The Tigers are back in action on Thursday November 4th for their final exhibition against Southwest Baptist. The tip-off is scheduled for 19:00 in the Mizzou Arena.

First quarter

  • Mizzou makes three threes in a row and leads 43-16 at the 6:10 mark
  • Lindenwood goes four minutes without a field goal as Mizzou takes the lead 47:18 with three minutes remaining
  • Mizzou ended the second quarter with a 10-0 run and scored his last three field goals
  • Lindenwood held the final goalless with 4:39 and missed his last six field goals
  • Mizzou beat Lindenwood in the second quarter with 23: 9 and shot 55.6 percent out of the field

Third quarter

  • Aijha Blackwell with two blocks on first possession for Lindenwood of the third quarter
  • Lindenwood opened the third with a 5-0 run to reduce the gap to 53:23
  • Mizzou goes on a 12-0 run and scores three straight field goals to take a 65:23 lead
  • The Tigers begin a 13-0 run over a four-minute period to extend their lead to 66:23 with three minutes left
  • Lindenwood was goalless for over six minutes when Mizzou goes on a 15-0 run

Fourth quarter

  • Lindenwood starts the fourth quarter 3-of-4 from the field

  • Tigers run 7-0 over four minutes to take an 81-35 lead
  • Mizzou with a 9-0 run over six minutes to extend the Tigers’ lead to 83-35
