MADISON (WKOW) – The NOBULL CrossFit Games are back in Madison this week for the first time since 2019, with more than 600 athletes from around the world arriving to battle for the Fittest on Earth title.

The competition includes various events that test strength, agility, endurance and determination.

The influx of competitors has been a boon for the hotels in the area.

“We’re full. All Madison and Greater Madison hotels are fully booked due to CrossFit activities,” said Eric Lund, owner of Clarion Suites At The Alliant Energy Center. “It brings millions and millions of dollars to the area and it’s just wonderful to see it and go back to more normal times.”

Lunds Hotel is directly connected to the Alliant Energy Center, and his other hotels in the area are also fully booked.

“It’s not just our hotels – it’s the whole city,” he said. “The restaurants, the shops, the gas stations, are all going to be hit by this great event coming to town.”

The sportswear company NOBULL is the title sponsor of the event that starts on Tuesday. Online tickets start at $ 25.
