Hotels in Poland were put back into operation on Saturday, but only 50 percent full. Restaurants and cafes will open on May 15, but only for customers sitting outside as part of measures to relax lockdown restrictions.

A corresponding government decree came into force at midnight.

As the hotel restaurants will be closed until May 14th, the restaurant menu is only available through room service.

Restaurants outside of hotels are only allowed to offer take-away services until May 14th.

From May 14th to 28th, restaurants and cafés are only allowed to reopen outdoors.

From May 29th to June 5th, people all over Poland can drink or eat in a restaurant or cafe.

Both restaurants and cafés must follow a strict hygiene system with a maximum capacity of 50 percent.

As of May 15, face masks will no longer need to be worn outdoors as long as a distance of five feet is maintained. In public utility buildings, including banks, shops, post offices, and public transportation, face-covering rules apply until June 5.
