Celebrity Cruises looks forward to the unveiling of the cruise line’s newest ship, the Celebrity Beyond, which will make its debut on a glider from Southampton, England on April 27, 2022.

The 1,073-foot ship, which can accommodate 3,260 passengers in 1,646 cabins, is the third ship in the Edge series from the subsidiary of the Royal Caribbean Group. The collection also includes Celebrity Apex and Celebrity Edge. In total, Celebrity’s fleet will contain 15 ships with the Beyond.

“Celebrity Cruises has always been an innovator at sea, and now we have challenged the status quo with a ship that goes beyond expectations and imagination,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, President and CEO of Celebrity, in a press release shattering everyone preconceived notion of the cruise experience. “

According to the company, the new ship will build on the features of its predecessors in the Edge series. One such feature is the main deck, which has been expanded by 40% compared to the Beyond’s sister ships in the Edge series. The ship “exceeds anything that can be expected,” said Lutoff-Perlo during a press conference at which the ship was presented on Wednesday.

“We have focused on creating more openness, height and space in the most popular rooms on the ship,” said Richard Fain, chairman of the Royal Caribbean Group, the parent company of Celebrity, in a press release.

The ship has features such as “The Retreat,” a guest-only room with a lounge and two-story deck. And accommodations on board also have special features. For example, passengers can book two-story villas with private plunge pools or cabins with terraces overlooking the water.

The Beyond also has a rooftop garden and resort terrace with pools that tower over the ocean for swimming. a tiered bar called the “Sunset Bar”; a Daniel Boulud restaurant; a redesigned “Grand Plaza” for multiple decks; and the “magic carpet,” an open-air venue that hovers over the sea and changes position, much like an elevator that changes its purpose depending on which of the 13 levels it visits.

Goop founder and actress Gwyneth Paltrow, whose company had planned to partner with Celebrity For a company at sea last year before the pandemic broke out, it will now act as the brand’s new “feel good advisor”. As part of their experience, all “Aqua Class” passengers in the Celebrity fleet will be privy to wellness offers such as a Paltrow brand fitness kit. The Goop team will also curate the wellness programming on board.

After the Beyond completes its first itinerary, a 10-day Western European cruise with stops in Bordeaux, Lisbon, Seville, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona from Southampton, it will embark on Mediterranean voyages. Bookings open on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. ET.
