MSC cruises will launch a ship from Saudi Arabia this summer with the MSC Bellissima offers 21 Red Sea cruises from Jeddah from late July to late October.

MSC Bellissima offers three- and four-day cruises to Safaga, Egypt (near Luxor) or Aqaba, Jordan (near Petra) before returning to her Saudi home port. MSC said it will be the largest cruise ship to ever sail the Red Sea.

MSC recently said it would start cruises from the kingdom this winter with the MSC Magnifica Homeport in Jeddah in November and offering seven-day cruises in the Red Sea through March 2022.

The addition of a second MSC ship to its home port in Saudi follows last week’s announcement Picturesque cruiseswho also own their luxurious expedition ship, the Picturesque solar eclipse, will launch Saudi Arabia cruises from Jeddah this summer, offering both scheduled and charter cruises.

The 228-guest Eclipse, stationed in Jeddah from July 17 to December 9, will be chartered through October. After that, scheduled cruises will be offered to international guests, Scenic said. Destinations on the itineraries include Yanbu, a beach destination with opportunities for swimming, diving, snorkeling, and water sports in the Red Sea, as well as rich cultural experiences. In addition to Saudi Arabia, the Eclipse will also visit Aqaba in Jordan and Port Ghalib Marina, not far from Luxor in Egypt.

“Saudi Arabia will be one of the hottest travel destinations in the years to come and we are delighted that guests will experience it in six-star comfort aboard the Scenic Eclipse,” said Glen Moroney, chairman of the Scenic Group.
