Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has reopened all of their resorts to tourists to help people break the monotony of lockdowns and kickstart tourism. The resorts take strict precautions against this Covid-19 and provide medical service to guests when the unlock process begins in the state.

As part of the “Work from Nature” and “Work with Nature” initiatives, WiFi facilities are made available to tourists. “We hope that there will be a good response to tourism in the country. Citizens are frustrated that they are stuck in their homes due to the lockdown and pandemic. The arrival of the monsoons has left tourist destinations covered in green and tourists have the perfect time to enjoy the season, ”said Deepak Harane, MTDC regional manager in Pune.

“The MTDC will make the safety of tourists a top priority at all resorts during the pandemic by tightening all policies to contain the spread of Covid-19. MTDC’s restaurants and resorts are being cleaned and disinfected, ”said Harane.

“The tourists would receive emergency medical services at the resorts and if necessary, the tourists would receive medical treatment at the resorts,” said Harane, adding that Ayurvedic drinks will be served to all tourists while staying at the resort.

All staff at the resorts will be vaccinated, he said. “The staff has been provided with all safety equipment that can be used during the service. The food would be served in the rooms and not in the mess or in the restaurant in order to avoid a crowd. “

Bookings can be made through the MTDC website.
