It’s been a while since we last heard about Surviving Mars as the Green Planet expansion launched a few years ago. Now, while Paradox Interactive is back, the team at Abstraction has taken on the task of moving the game forward at a pace. That pace begins today with a new free tourism update that will be released along with a premium DLC pack and news on how things will continue to develop.

Now that Surviving Mars has just passed the 5 million player mark, it’s safe to say that Surviving Mars was a hit. After the first launch on Xbox in 2018 and subsequent expansion with the Space race and then the Green Planet DLCThere is already a large amount of content out there. But now it gets even bigger with the new free tourism update.

The Surviving Mars Tourism Update, available to gamers today, is free for all Surviving Mars spacemen and renews tourists, introduces an RC safari, adds buildings, and more. With this update, anyone who’s familiarized with the base game can expect some of its most sought-after tourist features, such as: B. Rewards and Consequences for Scoring Vacation Experiences.

The main features of the tourism update include:

  • Happy Holidays – Tourists are now rating their stay at your colony to determine their vacation experience rating. This rating determines what rewards, funds, and additional tourist applicants players will receive.
  • Movin On Up – Hotels can be built after completing smart homes research to increase tourist comfort and satisfaction. Players can also build a low-G amusement park that will increase every tourist’s satisfaction.
  • Rover Safaris – Set waypoints in places of interest and let tourists tour your colony for satisfaction. Players can order an RC safari from Earth or build it themselves after completing the Rover Printing research project.

But that’s not all and the In-Dome Buildings Pack is also available. Developed in collaboration with longtime community modder Silva, Paradox continues Paradox’s commitment to supporting outstanding content creators. 8 buildings and a variety of tech additions will be introduced to expand housing and community options.
