Nexion Travel Group, a guest agency for independent travel professionals, is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2020 “with a firm belief in the future and the value of travel agents”. Nexion started life in Silicon Valley 25 years ago as a technology solutions company before joining Saber in 2003.

Additionally, the Nexion Travel Group has been celebrating a decade since joining Travel Leaders Group (now Internova travel group).

For 2020, however, Nexion has focused on virtual events and support and changed its programs to meet the new needs of its members. Please note: Nexion Travel Group has developed several virtual series in which members can improve their skills.Back to basics” and “Control chaos“Series. The” Back to Basics “series included quickly learned topics such as marketing, Nexion Travel Group tools, sales training, customer loyalty, and targeting. Chaos to Control helped consultants navigate through these challenging times and focus on restoring the Internova Travel Group’s financial support webinars were also available to members and provided information on new laws and programs like the MAINTENANCE action, the Paycheck Protection Program and unemployment insurance as well as the other financial aid programs available to small businesses.

For “armchair” travelers in 20201 that Escape Marketing campaign started Virtual EscapesThis offers suppliers a platform to present products virtually on ship, hotel, resort and destination tours. Consultants from the Nexion Travel Group can use this for their own training and share it with their customers. The Virtual Escapes Toolkit also offers dining experiences, wellness programs, and entertainment, as well as a variety of resources for marketing, business development, and safe travel. The armchair Researcher The Travel Leaders Network’s email campaign sent to their customers by members of the Nexion Travel Group included entries such as the best places for whale watching and virtual tours of national parks, some of the most popular museums in the world, and more.

2020 ambassador

The Nexion Travel Group also announced the winner 2020 Ambassador Award:: Mary Anne Thoman. Each year the hosting agency recognizes the member who best embodies the spirit of the Nexion Travel Group. The award was presented to Thoman during the company’s annual conference this year CoNexion at home, held virtually.

The recipients of the Ambassador Award are nominated by their colleagues and employees of the Nexion Travel Group and are expected to achieve outstanding performance in a variety of areas, including high sales, the use of preferred supplier partners of the Nexion Travel Group and participation in events, programs and tools of the Host agency. In addition, the ambassador is a travel advisor who wants to improve himself and his business and support the entire travel advisor profession.

Thoman possessed Travel connections 2 in the Tulsa, OK since 1984. She is a member of Circle of ExcellenceThe Nexion Travel Group recognizes its best-selling members and leads the networking group for Tulsa. She actively communicates current issues and memories of the group, such as the importance of participating in the American Society of Travel Consultants (STAY).

A regular on NexionTownThoman, the Nexion Travel Group’s membership discussion tool, was also named NexionTownie of the year. This is her second time as NexionTownie of the Year, having previously won 2019.
