The Norwegian Bliss will set sail from Los Angeles on Sunday, October 24th, making it the seventh ship in the company’s fleet to resume operations on what the cruise line calls the “Great Cruise Comeback”.

Sailing from the Los Angeles World Cruise Center, Norwegian bliss sails to the Mexican Riviera. The ship is the company’s second ship on the Pacific coast.

With seven operational ships, Norwegian Cruise Line is well on the way to getting back into operation. The cruise line plans to put more ships into operation by the end of the year. Norwegian Cruise Line will have 11 ships underway by the end of December if everything goes according to plan.

Norwegian Sails – week-long cruises on the Mexican Riviera

After spending most of the past 18 months in Europe, Norwegian Bliss is back in North America. Norwegian Bliss, built in Germany, has a capacity for 4,200 guests and 167,800 tons. With Norwegian Escape and Norwegian Joy, the ship is the third of four ships in the Breakaway Plus class.

The cruise ship departs from the World Cruise Center in Los Angeles and offers week-long trips to the Mexican Riviera. In the late afternoon of October 24th, Norwegian Bliss will set sail and will spend two days at sea before reaching her first port of call on this cruise.

Harry Sommer, President and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line: “Your long-awaited return from the City of Angels marks another milestone on our Great Cruise comeback voyage as we revitalize half our fleet and continue to deliver unforgettable guest experiences from one of the leading West Coast destinations.”

Guests will enjoy the best of what the Mexican Riviera has to offer with a phone call to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco. Next, the ship will set course Mazatlán in Sinaloa before arriving in Cabo San Lucas.

Guests have another day at sea to enjoy the boat and relax before returning to Los Angeles. The ship will stay on the same route until mid-January when it sails a 5-day Riviera cruise before setting out on two longer cruises.

In addition to several ports on Mexico’s Pacific coast, the ship will also call at a few less visited ports in Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Cartagena, Colombia. From Miami, the cruise ship will head back to Los Angeles on a cruise that includes roughly the same ports of call, although that trip will take 16 days.
