Omaha Police are investigating a recent series of thefts from vehicles parked in hotels. In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the department reminded people to close their vehicles and remove valuable items in areas such as “hotels, apartment complexes, sports venues and shopping malls.” “Thefts from vehicles are often petty crimes, so when you remove valuable items like gifts or electronics, you are removing the items thieves are looking for,” OPD wrote on Facebook.
