KAMLOOPS – Help will arrive in BC a few days later than expected.

BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) director of provincial operations Cliff Chapman said 100 resources would be arriving in the province from outside the province on Monday, July 5. However, the province’s Wildfire Information Officer Erika Berg told CFJC Today that her trip was delayed due to mechanical issues.

“[When they will arrive] will depend on the severity of the mechanical problems, ”said Berg. “We hope to have her here in the next few days as our resource request is still active. You will continue to support us. It was just delayed a bit. “

The resources mentioned are deployed personnel. Berg said 79 firefighters will arrive, the rest being auxiliaries such as task force and security teams.
