The last league champion of the Pioneer Athletic Conference, Owen J. Roberts, picked up exactly where he left off two seasons ago when he rolled for his sixth straight championship.

In their first game in 2021, the Wildcats scored an 18-3 win over Pottsgrove after taking a 13-2 lead at halftime.

Gabbi Koury scored four goals and Maggie Kilgallon scored a hat trick for OJR, while Alexa Vogelman, Gracyn Smith, Emily Himmelreich and Ava Clemson scored two goals.

Blakely Doyle, Quinn Defibaugh and Sierra Milano also scored goals for the Wildcats. Vogelman (3), Koury (2) and Colby Wasson (1) have counted assists. Goalkeeper Korrigan Sweeney made four saves.

Sydney Tornetta scored all three goals for Pottsgrove.

Exeter 18, Daniel Boone 6 >> Maya Metz had six goals and Makayla Ott had three goals and an assist to take the Eagles past the Blazers in Tuesday’s Berks League competition.

Reigan Juhasz and Megan Unruh each had two goals and an assist and Haley Pierson two goals for Exeter. Mia Bishop and Amanda Spotts each scored three goals for the Blazers (0-1, 1-2).

Boys lacrosse

Methacton 15, Boyertown 9 >> The Bears opened their season on Tuesday with a 9-15 loss to the Warriors in both teams’ PAC openings.

Halfway through it was 7-4 Methacton, but the Bears couldn’t get over Methacton’s offense and play against X. Aidan McFalls had four goals and an assist for Boyertown, who scored two goals from Lane Yergey and Luke Heimbach. a solo record by Gage Parker and two-template games by Jonathan Mayan and Grizz Eardley.

Exeter 14, Daniel Boone 1 >> Ty Yonas had three goals and four assists and Jon Oberholtzer scored four goals to lead the Eagles (1-0, 3-0) over the Blazers (0-1, 0-2) in the Berks League on Tuesday.

Jude Segaline scored for Daniel Boone, assisted by Dominick Rogers. Antonio Rulli and Vincent Ciotti shared goalkeeping duties for the blazers, with Rulli scoring 11 of the locals’ 14 saves.
