On April 15, 2021, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) adopted Resolution No. 110 (Access here). Philippines.
The Bureau of Immigration (BI) has a modified advisory for the implementation of IATF Resolution No. 110 (access here).
In the deep
On March 18, 2021, the IATF passed Resolution No. 103 temporarily suspending the entry of foreigners from March 22, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. to April 21, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. with limited exceptions.
On April 15, 2021, the IATF issued Resolution No. 110, which extended the entry ban for foreigners to April 30, 2021 DFA before March 22, 2021 “to enter the Philippines.
Thus, only the following foreigners are allowed to enter the Philippines until April 30, 2021:
- Diplomats and members of international organizations as well as their relatives, provided they have 9 (e) or 47 (a) (2) visas at the time of entry;
- Foreigners involved in medical return and duly approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers Affairs (DFA-OUMWA) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), provided they have a valid one at the time of entry Dispose of a visa;
- Foreign seafarers under the “Green Lanes” crew change program, provided they are in possession of a 9 (c) crewlist visa at the time of entry;
- foreign spouses and children of Filipino nationals traveling with them, provided they have a valid visa at the time of entry;
- Emergencies, humanitarian and other analogous cases approved by the National Task Force Against COVID-19 (NTF COVID-19) or its duly authorized representative, provided the foreigners have valid visas at the time of entry;
- Foreign nationals with valid entry confirmation documents duly issued by the FDFA before March 22, 2021.
The amended BI report summarizes the documentary requirements for the entry of foreigners with the above exceptions as follows:
