A third ship from P&O Cruises that sails internationally

P&O Cruises’ Ventura will resume operations on Sunday as she sets sail for the Canary Islands and is the brand’s third ship to resume international cruises.

Half of the P&O Cruises fleet is now in service as Ventura joins Iona and Britannia, who have both sailed a number of UK coastal cruises over the summer and have been operating internationally since the September 25th season.

Paul Ludlow, President of P&O Cruises, said: “The international relaunch of Ventura is the result of guest confidence in cruises and is the latest stage in P&O Cruises’ sailing resumption as we work towards the return of our entire fleet in the spring of 2022 . “

MSC describes the COVID rules for winter programs in various markets

MSC Cruises spelled out COVID-19 logs for winter cruises in the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Red Sea / Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and on major trips.

Insurance is mandatory for everyone and the policy must cover risks related to COVID-19 such as cancellation, interruption, repatriation costs, quarantine, medical assistance and related costs, and hospital stays. The policy must include coverage in the event of close contact.

Fully vaccinated travelers can disembark independently according to the requirements of the countries they are visiting. Those who are not fully vaccinated or who are traveling with children must take part in bubble excursions.

It is possible to purchase a PCR or antigen test on board during the cruise if this is necessary for the return to your home country.

All persons 12 years and older must be vaccinated on cruises from PortMiami and Port Canaveral. US citizens are also required to present a negative antigen or PCR test performed within 48 hours of embarkation, while all children 2-11 and all non-US citizens must present a negative PCR test performed within 72 hours prior to embarkation. For cruises in the Southern Caribbean, anyone aged 12 or over must be vaccinated and anyone aged 2 or over must have a PCR test.

In the Mediterranean region, travelers from Schengen countries who are vaccinated and not fully vaccinated must either have a negative antigen or PCR test 48 hours prior to departure or be fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19 within the last six months. Non-Schengen travelers must be fully vaccinated and present a PCR test within 72 hours. Travelers can only go ashore if they are on an MSC excursion, and some tours require an official COVID certificate (e.g. an EU digital COVID certificate) in order to access some tourist facilities such as museums or churches obtain.

In Northern Europe, passengers 12 years and older must be fully vaccinated and passengers 2-11 must have a negative PCR test or antigen within 48 hours of their cruise. Non-Schengen passengers must be fully vaccinated and have a negative PCR test within 72 hours.

For cruises to the Red Sea / Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, travelers 12 and over must be fully vaccinated and present a negative PCR test within 72 hours prior to embarkation. The test is also required for children aged 2 to 11 years. To the MSC Bellissima cruises in the Red Sea, a visa is required to enter Saudi Arabia, and travelers purchasing an MSC Fly & Cruise package have included the visa worth € 30 per person in the total cost. Travelers must register their vaccination status with the Saudi authorities prior to arrival.

For long voyages, passengers 12 years of age or older must be fully vaccinated and present a negative PCR test within 72 hours of embarkation. This test is also required between the ages of 2-11.
