SOFT BALL

NDP SWEEPS BLOOMFIELD HILLS

The Notre Dame Prep softball team won 19-6 and 19-0 against Bloomfield Hills on Monday.

In the opening game, Ani Wachowiak had a triple home run to give the Irish a 7-6 advantage that they would not lose. She also got the victory in the circle. Elena Schwegman scored for the cycle and had a home run while she drove in four. Meaghan Orloski added three doubles and four RBI.

In game two, the Irish won in three innings and also set up two home runs. Jordan Smith had five RBI with three hits and a two-part home run. Orloski also crossed the finish line with four people. Ryann Simmonds added two hits and three RBI. Wachowiak took another win in the circle and only allowed a walk without a hit.

BASEBALL

NOTRE DAME PREP 11, TROY 1

The Notre Dame Prep baseball team beat Troy 11-1 on Monday with six innings.

Ben Sermo had two hits and two RBI to lead the Irish on the plate while Tommy Joppich had three hits and one RBI.

Luke Babich threw a full game for the Irish and knocked out seven batters.

The second game was stopped 3-1 for Troy in the sixth inning and will resume on Wednesday.

LAKEVIEW 3, CLAWSON 1

Clawson was bet 3-1 on the diamond by Lakeview on Monday.

Zac Foster hit four on the hill and also drove in the lone Clawson run. Colin Snyder and Alex Cordone each scored twice based.

GIRLS FOOTBALL

SEAHOLM 4, BERKLEY 2

The Birmingham Seaholm girls’ football team drew a 4-2 win over Berkley on Monday night.

Ava David had one goal and two assists for the Maples, while Macy Rothweil, Eva Grills and Elena Reyes also scored one goal each.

The Lakeland girls’ tennis team celebrated a 5-4 win over Holly on Monday night.

In 3 doubles, seniors Claire Stevenson and Asha Chowanic won in a 3-set nail bite that secured the victory for the Eagles. Senior Zoe Cutting put in an impressive performance at Court 4 Singles, winning 6-0, 6-1 in straight sets.

CLAWSON 6, CHAIN ​​RING 1

The Clawson tennis team scored a 6-1 win over Waterford Kettering on Monday evening.

Individual winners for Clawson were Layna Thompson No. 1, Hannah Saunders No. 2, Abby Holmes No. 3 and Ena Dokic No. 4.

The winners of the doubles were Ava LaMotte and Natty Lertkasem No. 1 and Olivia Bailey and Arnela Pobric No. 2.
