MINOT, ND – The Tourism Recovery and Resilience Project has already started working with organizations to plan new or expanded events to revitalize tourism in the magical city.

The ACHA Women’s Div. The ice hockey championship tournament is scheduled for April will use the program that reimburses organizations for hosting a certain number of tourists.

Over the next three years, the program will use $ 477,000 to host similar events with the goal of generating $ 10 million in revenue.

“It’s been a thought for a while, but then because of COVID and how hard the hospitality industry has been hit in our community, it has done a lot since then,” said Stephanie Schoenrock, Executive Director of Visit Minot.

A six-person committee made up of Visit Minot representatives helps decide how to spend the $ 175,000 recruitment fund on events.
