Puerto Rico becomes a popular travel destination for Americans during the pandemic to implement new hospitality travel restrictions that will affect travelers.
In response to the rising cases of the Delta variant, US territory becomes Vaccination certificate or Compulsory examination in all hotels and accommodations.
This includes:
- Hotels
- guest houses
- Paradores
- Short term rentals
- Airbnb
- VRBO rental
- Resorts
Therefore, travelers must provide proof of vaccination or negative test within 72 hours of arriving at the property. If travelers stay longer than a week, they are required to show negative tests weekly.
Failure to follow these guidelines will result in a $ 5,000 fine or six months in jail Reportedly with very few exceptions.

The current entry restrictions

However, if traveling to Puerto Rico as an unvaccinated traveler, these restrictions apply becomes frustrating.
