Global hospitality giant Radisson Hotel Group is expanding its presence in the Chinese capital after signing a contract to open a new building at Beijing Daxing International Airport.

Scheduled for an opening in the first quarter of 2022, Radisson Hotel Beijing Daxing Airport will accommodate guests within the Airport Economic Zone of one of the busiest airports in the world.

Ready in time for the 2022 Winter Olympics

This upscale hotel will be part of a large mixed-use facility – consisting of hotels, premium office space, and shops – that will receive LEED Platinum certification upon completion. The modern property hopes to host athletes and participants during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

“We are pleased to announce this agreement for the Radisson Hotel Beijing Daxing Airport, which will be an integral part of this outstanding new aerotropolis,” said Katerina Giannouka, Asia Pacific President, Radisson Hotel Group. “The development of Daxing International Airport reflects China’s global perspective and confidence in the future.

“To become the first international full-service hotel in the airport area shows the strength of the Radisson brand. This important hotel will perfectly complement our portfolio in China and further strengthen our reputation with partners and guests. “

“It is a great pleasure for us to work with the Radisson Hotel Group on this project,” added Hui Wu, Executive Director and Legal Representative of Kaiyuan Shenggang Hotel Management (Beijing) Co. “Radisson is one of the most prestigious and respected brands in the hotel industry, and its status will help attract domestic and international travelers alike while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality.”
