RIU is reopening its luxurious 5-star hotel Riu Palace Boavista today after being closed for more than a year. This is good news for the chain, its staff and guests as it means resuming activities in this paradise destination. On Friday the Hotel Riu Funana will be added, the second hotel on the island of Sal, together with the Riu Palace Santa María, which opened in March of this year.

With these new openings, RIU has now opened three hotels on Cape Verde, a destination that is gradually coming to life again. Everyone is working normally and applying the strict anti-COVID-19 protocols that have proven successful in all RIU hotels over these months. It should be noted that the staff at the three facilities have started the vaccination process, which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks. The Riu Palace Boavista Hotel has 505 rooms and is located directly on the beautiful Praia Das Dunas beach.
