Rosewood Hotels & Resorts signed a contract to manage Rosewood Rome, a new luxury hotel in the Italian capital.

The block-long property is scheduled to open in 2023 and will include three historic buildings from the early 20th century. This includes the former headquarters of the Italian Banca Nazionale del Lavoro, which was designed by the Italian architect and urban planner Marcello Piacentini and renovated by the architecture and engineering office Jacobs and the interior designer BAR Studio.

The property overlooks Via Veneto and has 157 rooms including 44 suites, a modern Italian bistro, lobby bar and café, as well as a rooftop bar with views of the city.

Additional amenities include a modern Roman bathhouse in the bank’s original underground vault, rooftop Rosewood spa, reflective pool, fitness center, three meeting rooms, and a ballroom.

The Rosewood Rome is the brand’s fourth project in Italy.
