On a one-share basis, the Rockville, Maryland-based company reported net income of $ 2.08. Earnings adjusted for one-time gains were $ 1.51 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street’s expectations. The average estimate by six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was earnings of $ 1.32 per share.
The hotel franchisor had revenue of $ 323.4 million for the period, which was below Street’s forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $ 357.4 million.
