SEQUIM – The city of Sequim is accepting applications for sustainability grants for tourism until Monday, May 24th.

The grants of up to $ 5,000 are available to nonprofit tourism organizations within the boundaries of the Sequim School District.

The grants, which are financed from taxpayers’ money, must be used for tourism marketing. Marketing and conducting special events and festivals to attract tourists; Support for the operation and investments of tourist facilities belonging to or operated by a municipality or a district for public facilities; and assisting in the operation of tourism-related establishments owned or operated by non-profit organizations.

Applications will be considered by the city’s lodging tax advisory board at its quarterly meeting on June 2nd.

The recommendations will be sent to the City Council for consideration at its June 14 session.
