The launch of the 596-passenger ship is also the unveiling of the long-awaited SALT (sea and land taste) – Silversea’s extensive culinary program.

The opening voyage of Silversea’s new expedition ship, Silver origin, will depart from San Cristobal in the Galapagos Islands tomorrow June 19th, sailing brand new routes.

Both ships will sail with fully vaccinated passengers and crew.

Silver Origin is Silversea’s first destination-specific ship and one of the most energy efficient ships in its class.

Silver Muse will sail to Alaska starting July 29th, while Silver Shadow will sail around Iceland starting July 30th.

The line released the following statement regarding their health and safety protocols: “Silversea continues to work closely with relevant government agencies and health agencies to maintain a multi-layered set of science-based protocols to ensure the health and safety of our guests and crew, and visited communities. “
