Applications for grants from the Lodging Tax Fund to promote 2022 Edmonds events and programs that attract out-of-town visitors are now available, according to the City of Edmonds.

The City’s Accommodation Tax Advisory Board recommends how the city’s accommodation tax revenue can be used to promote tourism. These recommendations, endorsed by the city council as part of the city’s annual budget, include providing grants to organizations that produce and promote events or programs that bring visitors to Edmonds. The price cycle takes place once a year. Applications for 2022 will be accepted until May 28th.

Arts-related nonprofits applying for grants of up to US $ 2,600 for events or programs promoting arts and cultural tourism may apply through the Edmonds City Arts Commission Tourism Promotion Awards program. You will receive applications when you contact us eac@edmondswa.gov or frances.chapin@edmondswa.gov.

Non-profit organizations seeking funding for any event, activity, or program of any kind that generally promote tourism in Edmonds can apply for funding directly to the Housing Tax Advisory Committee. To learn more, contact Megan Luttrell at megan.luttrell@edmondswa.gov.

Both applications will be accepted until May 28th at 5 p.m.

All awards are reviewed and recommended by the Housing Taxation Advisory Committee for city council review and final approval under the 2022 budget.
