The race is officially for the services of Deshaun Watson. The angry Houston Texans quarterback officially requested a trade on Thursday.

This comes according to reports from Watson, who plans to leave the organization no matter who the Texans ended up hiring as the new head coach. Houston hired David Culley earlier this week.

Watson began to feel annoyed with the team after head coach / general manager Bill O’Brien was sacked and looking for replacements for both of them. Watson wanted to have a say in both the general manager and coaching attitudes, but after hiring NIck Caserio, Watson seemed annoyed with how little he was consulted.

Watson also encouraged the team to check out the Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy as the next head coach. Instead, the Texans hired Culley, the Baltimore Ravens’ passing coordinator and wide-angle receiver coach.

The trading market is open to Watson, who can go to any number of franchises and turn them into instant playoff competitors.
