A government regulation published on the matter stated that the Tourism Commissioner stated that a committee could be formed to work out the tourism sector recovery plan and propose standard COVID procedures for tourists in Tamil Nadu. He also drew up a list of officials and non-officials to be included on the committee and its composition. After careful consideration, the government has accepted the tourism director’s proposal.

The committee consists of a total of 16 members, who are chaired by the tourism director. The directors, commissioners, regional directors of archeology, the museum, public health, Hindu religions and foundations, the Department of Arts and Culture and the museum will be the members of the board. Former Chennai Corporation Health Officer Dr. P. Kuganantham, who is also an advisory member for Corona Prevention, Chairman of the Travel Agency Association India, K Pandian, Chairman of the Indian Tour Operators Association, T. Natarajan, President, Tamil Nadu Travel Mart, S. Sundar, Honorary Secretary of the South Indian Hotels and Restaurants Association , VKT Balan, Tamil Nadu Tour Travel and Hospitality Association, P. Sridharan, Head of FICCI TN State Council, S Kannan, Director and Head, CII TN Council and Dr. Ajith, the South India Mice Association will be the other unofficial members of the committee, said the government regulation from Tourism and HR-CE Secretary B Chandramohan.
