The cloister in the Boca Raton

Today marks a milestone for South Florida’s iconic resort and private club as the Boca Raton unveils its Harborside redesign that is part of the $ 200 million redesign of the destination. The most significant development in its 95-year history includes the reintroduction of the Cloister, the original multi-story hotel that serves as the centerpiece of Harborside. The monastery now offers Sadelle’s in collaboration with the Major Food Group, the Palm Court cocktail lounge designed by Rockwell Group architects, and the redesigned Palmera Spa in collaboration with Colin Cowie. The Yacht Club is once again emerging as luxurious lakefront accommodations at The Boca Raton for an adults-only getaway. A new highlight on the resort’s waterfront is the debut of the Harborside Pool Club with multiple pools, water slides and luxurious experiences.

When the famous architect Addison Mizner opened the property in 1926, the monastery shines again in coastal white. The grand entrance has been extensively renovated, including every detail along the main driveway and throughout the graceful lobby. With 294 rooms and suites, Cloister presents great architecture, exciting new restaurants and special amenities, including an extensive wellness retreat, Spa Palmera. The 50,000-square-meter, Alhambra-inspired spa has been breathtakingly redesigned with lifestyle expert Colin Cowie. In addition to 44 treatment rooms, the quiet enclave offers a relaxation pool, a new halotherapy Himalayan salt room and an Aemotio Vichy shower by Lemi. Ritual Baths offers an expanded menu of fragrance journeys for a personalized experience. A new spa café offers cold-pressed juices, cocktails and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.

Boca Raton’s second unique restaurant collaboration with Major Food Group, Sadelle’s, is open for breakfast and lunch. With locations in New York’s SoHo, Las Vegas and Paris, the sophisticated yet entertaining restaurant serves typical classics such as smoked salmon cut to order, Sadelle’s famous bagels and crispy latkes. Sadelle’s Grab ‘n Go is open from early to afternoon for a quick taste. Designed by the Rockwell Group and located next to the Cloister’s lobby, the restaurant retains the architecture of the historic Garden Room with dark wooden beams and arched windows, while the walls are encased in Sadelle’s signature blue lacquer paneling to create the ambience of a European pastry shop.

Palm Court, an inviting lakefront cocktail lounge, has high ceilings and breathtaking views of the coast. Bossa Nova Jazz is a vibrant meeting place and gathering and entertaining, while handcrafted cocktails like the Hemingway Daiquiri and Mediterranean Mule are shaken and stirred with flair. Here the modern redesign of the sun-drenched lounge celebrates its historic architecture in the Spanish colonial style. A luminous central bar with filigree brass shelves and a backlit bar matrix with individual peacock green ombre tube glass makes a great statement.

These new restaurants add to the culinary offerings at Boca Raton, following the recent opening of The Flamingo Grill and MB Supper Club, a glamorous dining and entertainment experience. The Boca Raton will continue to roll out new concepts this winter, including two new restaurants with the Major Food Group exploring Japanese and Italian cuisines, as well as Maison Rose, a macaron and chocolate shop.

The Boca Raton is located on 200 acres on the water and offers five different hotels. Close to Cloister is the all-suite Yacht Club, which is now reserved for adults only. The 112 elegant suites of the Yacht Club have private balconies with wonderful views of Lake Boca Raton and the yacht-lined promenade. Personal concierges and floor attendants prepare every detail, and Yacht Club guests get exclusive access to the breathtaking Spa Palmera pool and the brand new gourmet restaurant Flybridge with views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Bungalows is an idyllic place for longer stays and a residential style retreat in a quiet corner of the property with a private pool. The bungalows have been completely redesigned to showcase modern mid-century decor and contemporary amenities. The bungalows offer 58 spacious two bedroom, two bathroom residences with fully equipped kitchens. A complimentary continental breakfast and afternoon snacks are served daily in the new Bungalows Reception Lounge. For a luxurious seaside retreat, The Boca Raton’s Beach Club is The Boca Raton’s retreat for stylish jet setters and laid-back day trippers, located on an 800-meter-long golden private beach. On the horizon, the 27-story tower will soon be unveiled after a $ 45 million conversion.

The Boca Raton creates a tempting travel destination and launches the first phase of its Harborside Pool Club, a sparkling oasis on the lakefront. The club is nestled among tropical palm trees and features three pools, a 450-foot floating river, water slides, luxury cabanas with personal butler service, a pool bar with cocktails and light snacks, the Banyan Bunch Kids Club, and more. In 2022, the Pool Club will continue to expand to include a FlowRider surf wave simulator, 7,100 square foot event lawn, teenage lounge, shopping experiences and a new waterfront restaurant.
