Tobu group is offering a different type of gachapon capsule machine this winter. Instead of a small toy, you can win a meal or stay at one of 11 Tobu hotels in Japan. Hotel Gachapon’s vending machine is located on the third floor of Tokyo Solamachi shopping center December 16 to January 15.
There are only 500 capsules available, and there are no duds – each has a special price, so we recommend getting there early to avoid missing out.

Each capsule costs 5,555 yen, but there is no need to fumble with change – the machine only accepts cashless payments via QR code. So you need to make sure you have an account with one of the major platforms in Japan like PayPay, Rakuten Pay, Line Pay, D-Barai, AU Pay, Mercari Pay, Bank Pay, WeChat Pay, and AIipay. In your capsule you will find one of 16 prices and a paper slip with step-by-step instructions for redemption. Here are the 16 specials to win:
