The Houston Texans and Deshaun Watson seem to be at a dead end. While reports came out that Watson was upset about the Texans general manager’s lack of involvement, chances are the star quarterback will be playing elsewhere in September.

There’s a growing sense from people in and around the Texans organization that Deshaun Watson played his final snap for the team. It’s early in the off-season, there’s plenty of time left, but Watson’s feelings cannot and shouldn’t be underestimated.

The Texans are still looking for a new head coach, but the relationship between Watson and the franchise didn’t make this an easy process. What’s even more difficult is the fact that Watson has a full no-trade clause so it can essentially choose where to go or where not to go.

Deshaun Watson, who is negotiating a no-trade clause in his renewal, is crucial. The Texans can’t just send him to Siberia. he must approve the site. https://t.co/Gi0qgryzDR

After all of this, let’s take a look at the best destination for Deshaun Watson.

3. Miami Dolphins

This makes too much sense not only for the Dolphins but also for Watson.

The ex-Clemson star would join a playoff team from 2020. The Dolphins’ defense was sensational, and head coach Brian Flores has the city of Miami buzzing with excitement. They were one game away from the playoffs and had some major injuries last season.

Watson would come in and have this team compete for the AFC East title immediately, even with the success of the Buffalo Bills.

What’s even better for Deshaun Watson is that he could just be the face of the franchise and jerseys with an addition of that magnitude would be selling at an all-time high.

While the tua was rumored for Watson barterThe deal makes sense for both sides, but Watson would certainly love to go to Miami and take on a team that is a playoff contender as early as 2021 and beyond.

2. New England Patriots

Can you imagine Bill Belichick working with a man like Deshaun Watson?

While Watson is upset that he had no say in hiring GM, he may not care if he goes to New England. The Patriots are Dynasty NFL team of the century, and Belichick and Robert Kraft have demonstrated their ability to stay competitive over the past two decades.

Watson would have a chance to fight for a title and the Patriots desperately need a quarterback (sorry Jarrett Stidham).

Watson is only 25 years old and would learn from arguably the best head coach in NFL history. The list of patriots isn’t too far off and they always seem to use people that others have forgotten.

New England didn’t make the playoffs in 2020 but rest assured this front office will do whatever it takes to pass in 2021.

Deshaun Watson played in college in Clemson – one of the best NCAA teams of the decade – and going to New England would be just the ticket.

1. San Francisco 49ers

Is it hard to believe the Niners were just a few games away from winning the Super Bowl a year ago?

Watson to the Niners would put Kyle Shanahan’s group back into NFC competition in an instant, and he would be absolutely successful with that group of guns.

San Francisco has by far the best all-round skills of anyone else on this list. Deebo Samuel, Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle are a creepy trio of pass catchers, and Raheem Mostert and Jerick McKinnon give Deshaun Watson the luxury of skilled rushers to hand the ball to.

Watson could head to the West Coast and beautiful California, and the Niners are one of the most historic franchises in the NFL. San Francisco has a talented offensive line too, and we’ve all seen what Shanahan did to Matt Ryan in Atlanta when they nearly won a Super Bowl.

Jimmy Garoppolo was injured and even in her Super Bowl run he had his troubled moments. Watson is undoubtedly a top five quarterback in the league and has had the best season of his career. Watson set career highs in yards (4823) and touchdowns (33) and threw only seven picks in 2020, a career low.

While San Francisco would have to give up a lot to get Deshaun Watson – as is the case for any team – apparently Watson would love to go to San Francisco and play for a team full of attacking stars.

In reality

The situation between the Texans and Watson is getting worse and worse and keeping an eye on the future will be an interesting tidbit.

“”[The situation between Deshaun Watson and the Houston Texans] is worse than what’s reported. It’s worse than what you can say on TV. “

So where will Watson end up after all of this? His no-trade clause makes it difficult for many teams, no matter how generous their offer, and Watson has complete control over his future as the star quarterback in that league.
