Missouri quarterback Connor Bazelak has entered his name on the transfer portal after three seasons with the Tigers. Where could it land?

The wave of quarterbacks jumping into the transfer portal continued on Thursday with Connor Bazelak from Missouri.

The sophomore redshirt started 20 games in the last two seasons and was SEC Offensive Freshman of the Year in 2020. He’s further proof that life moves fast for college quarterbacks when he is wants to move into the next phase of his career.

With so many other quarterbacks on the portal, it’s hard to see where in Power 5 Bazelak might end up. It is more likely that he will go somewhere near his home.

3 ideal transfer destinations for Missouri QB Connor Bazelak

Ohio

Bazelak visited Archbishop Alter in Dayton, Ohio before signing with Missouri as a four-star contender in 2019. Ohio could bring him back to his home state.

In 2021, Kurtis Rourke led the Bobcats for the sophomore year, but its production was limited. Bazelak would have to fight for a place on the grid, but he could win it.

West Michigan

Kaleb Eleby has torn the MAC with Western Michigan this year with 3,116 yards and 21 touchdowns. Now rumor has it that he is moving to the NFL, leaving the Broncos with a need for quarterback.

Bazelak could step in right away and come up with big numbers too, with the potential to dominate the MAC itself. If he wants a safer way to start his career, this wouldn’t be a bad place to start, especially since it’s not exactly far from home.

North Carolina

The Tar Heels also lose a quarterback to the draft with Sam Howell in the mix for a first round pick. Mack Brown needs a new passerby in 2022 to place his hopes on.

Bazelak struggled with injuries and regressions in 2021, but the lightning bolts he showed in 2020 could be enough to give North Carolina a boost.
