PORT ANGELES – The Olympic Peninsula Visitors Bureau is searching for qualified grant applications for tourism marketing projects primarily for off-season activities in Clallam County.

Applications for the next funding round are due on April 9th.

Tourism improvement grants are accepted four times a year.

“Our goal is to help develop a year-round tourism base to better contribute to a healthy local economy by supporting qualified local activities that help attract overnight guests to our region,” said Marsha Massey, Managing Director of the Olympic Peninsula visitor offices.

The next application deadlines for grants for 2021 funds are April 9th, September 3rd and November 5th.

Preliminary dates for approval by the OPVB board are April 21, September 15 and November 17.

Tourism Improvement Grants support tourism marketing, collateral production, promoting festivals and events in the area, and website development, primarily in Clallam County.

For guidelines and applications for grants, see olympicpeninsula.org/page/tourism-grants.

Funding for this grant program comes from hotel / motel tax revenues on Clallam County accommodations without legal personality. The tax revenue for the accommodation is used to promote tourism in order to promote long-term economic growth through tourism projects or events that attract overnight guests to the destination.
