Here in the Bitterroot Valley in Montana, we’ve felt happy during the past few months of the coronavirus pandemic.

We have eight small towns, lots of open space, and invested partners and residents who have tried to make our valley a safe and welcoming place to live and play. We were also fortunate to have the Yellowstone TV series filmed in our valley and the economic boom for small and large businesses.

During the summer and fall, the Ravalli County’s TBID campaigned to ensure visitors knew Montana was open and encouraged them to follow local, state, and state health guidelines as we struggled to strike a balance between the safety of ours Finding communities and local security businesses could stay open and our destination’s livelihood could remain intact.

Efforts included regular newsletters, social media messages, an updated website, and contacting TBID in person. While we know the past few months have been a wild ride and full of frustrations, stress, worries, differing opinions and more, there is no other place we’d rather work to support and encourage.

Looking ahead to the months and years ahead, we are full of hope, optimism and the return of leisure and business travel to the Bitterroot Valley. From our volunteer committee to each of you, thank you very much for your efforts, dedication and passion in making this a beautiful place for locals and visitors alike. May 2021 bring health, friendliness, prosperity and more.
