Manali: The administration of Lahaul-Spiti is acquiring land from the Border Roads Organization (BRO) on the north portal of the Tunnel section to develop various tourism-related infrastructures.
Lahaul-Spiti Deputy Commissioner (DC) Neeraj Kumar said that BRO used a huge piece of land during the tunnel construction and has now agreed to hand it over to the administration. DC had a conversation with the tunnel project chief engineer VK Singh.
“The country was temporarily with the BRO. The chief engineer also agreed to hand over the land to the administration. We have planned to develop the area for tourism. Not only will it promote tourism, it will also help local residents, ”he said.
The DC added that the administration will work together in transferring the land to the Shinku-la tunnel project in their area of ​​responsibility.
