It’s never a bad time to discuss Buffalo’s potential. We have come this far, but there is still a lot to be done.

When it comes to Buffalo than holiday destinationwhat just comes to mind? The food, the culture, the promenade?

What is this city missing on the other side? What do you come across on trips that make you like a place? Is it a central square (piazza) where people gather? Is it possible to drive from place to place without worrying about being hit by a driver? Is it the historic cobblestone streets? The magnificent public fountains? Public art? Trolleys? Gondolas? Winter festivals? Music festivals?

To find out what we (the residents) believe Buffalo needs the most or the closest, Visit Buffalo Niagara (VBN) has partnered with MMGY DestinationNEXT to develop a ten-year destination development strategy that will ultimately figure out what this city means (and region) could benefit from the development of critical tourism components.

In the future, the strategy is to create stakeholder focus groups and conduct one-on-one interviews. The first step has already been set in motion with a survey of residents. The details are as follows:

In order to complete the survey, residents will receive a Buffalo Staycation Prize Package that includes: A certificate of hotel accommodation for two nights in the Buffalo Marriott at the LECOM HARBORCENTER;; a $ 50 gift certificate for Swan Street Diner, $ 50 gift certificate Pearl Street Grill & Brewery and $ 100 gift certificate for Toutant Restaurant. The total approximate retail value of the Buffalo Staycation award is $ 790.

To fill out the survey and write it on the drawing, residents can visit: www.visitbuffaloniagara.com/have-your-say-win-a-stay
