Judd Trump defeated Michael Georgiou 5-0 at the Turkish Masters, playing for the first time since losing the Welsh Open final to Joe Perry.

Trump was playing as a qualifier, held over to the main arena as one of the biggest draws in the tournament.

He brought with him some of his best form, hit a century of 110 to go two up, scrapped to a third, and then hit two more half-centuries (61 and 75) to complete a routine whitewash.

Ding Junhui won four frames in a row as he rallied to beat Robert Milkins 5-4 and reach the last 32 of the Turkish Masters in Antalya.

Ding looked to be heading for defeat after falling 4-1 behind against Milkins.

However, he made back-to-back centuries, a 131 total clearance and a 105 break, to get back into the contest and managed to secure his place in the next round.

Ding will play Kyren Wilson in the last 32 after he beat Tian Pengfei 5-1.

Yan Bingtao enjoyed a more straightforward win than Chinese compatriot Ding as he beat Joe O’Connor 5-2.

O’Connor threatened a comeback as he won two frames in a row after falling 3-0 behind, including

However, Yan reeled off three straight frames to advance to the next round where he will face Andy Hicks or Elliot Slessor.

Luca Brecel made six half-century breaks as he won 5-1 against Stuart Carrington and Hossein Vafaei won 5-0 against home hope Enes Bakirci.

Zhou Yuelong won a final-frame decider against Fan Zhengyi to make the last 32 and Thepchaiya Un-Nooh did the same against Stephen Maguire.

Oliver Lines and Ukrainian Iulian Boiko also advanced with 5-4 wins. Lines beat Xiao Guodong while Boiko edged past Simon Blackwell.

Shaun Murphy won his evening game against Lyu Haotian with a comfortable 5-0 win. A 90-6 kickstarted his win in the first frame, and he rattled off three more with little trouble. At 4-0, he encountered some resistance as Haotian hit his only half-century, but Murphy scored 58 with one visit to wiin 70-61.

Jimmy Robertson defeated Cao Yupeng 5-2, coming back from 2-0 down.

In the last five of seven frames, Robertson hit consecutive breaks of 65, 62, 57, 59 and 81 with superb consistency.

Ronnie O’Sullivan, Neil Robertson and Mark Selby are not playing the tournament.
