Which UK cities have the most luxurious places to eat, shop and sleep? This is the question posed by a new study by money.co.uk tried to answer.

And surprisingly, London took fifth place in another ranking.

If you look at the most luxurious cities per square kilometer, Padstow took first place.

Even more incredible, three Cornish spots were featured in the top 10.

In addition to Padstow, St. Ives and Newquay also rank well among the UK’s most luxurious shops, restaurants and hotels.

The study looked at five-star hotels, Michelin-star restaurants, and designer shops (luxury eateries) and then divided the number by the size of the cities.

Although London has the most luxury venues in the UK, its size countered it and only came in fifth.

After Plastow came Bath, which took second place.

The spa town of Somerset has been a wellness destination since Roman times and has drawn luxury lovers for centuries.

Visitors can visit the UK’s only natural hot spring to bathe in at Thermae Bath Spa.

Third was the Cornish city of Newquay.

Lichfield in Staffordshire finished fourth.

One of the city’s greatest attractions is the Cathedral, the only three-towered medieval cathedral in Britain.

In sixth place after London was Oxford and in seventh place was the last Cornish city of St. Ives.

Manchester finished eighth ahead of Brighton and Cambridge.
