The UN men’s basketball team overran local rival Dillard 93-66 in his last game without a conference on Tuesday evening at the Lakefront Arena.

Senior captain Troy Green had a season high of 20 points with six rebounds, three assists and one steal. Green went 9 out of 15 from the field and 2 out of 5 from across the arc. His 20 points came in just 24 minutes of play.

Second year Guardian Rodney Carson Jr. added a career high of 17 points in the 7-of-9 shooting in 17 minutes.

Kmani Doughty also had a career high with 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals. With the Privateers (7-8), too, he set a new career highlight with 24 minutes.

Elijah Moore led Dillard (5-11) with 20 points. Jeremiah August added 10 points on the 5-out-of-10 for the Bleu Devils who are hosting Talladega College at Dent Hall on Thursday at 6pm.

The UN begins with the Southland Conference game against Nicholls State on Saturday at 4 p.m.
