Lucknow: As part of the central government’s Swadesh Darshan program, a new tourist circuit in the form of the Ganga Circuit was proposed, which identifies holy sites on the banks of the Ganges in Uttar Pradesh.

The estimated cost of this touristic circuit, which is to be expanded into a spiritual tour, is 100 billion.

Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (independent fee) Prahlad Singh Patel and Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (independent fee) Neelkanth Tiwari delivered a talk on the Ganga Circuit evening on Friday during a review of the progress of the centrally funded tourism programs.

At this meeting it was informed that throughout the year many tourists and believers visit these tourist places on the banks of the river. The development of the Ganga circuit will not only lead to the systematic development of these tourist places, but also benefit from boating, water sports and water transportation by waterways in these areas.

After the meeting, both ministers announced that Ayodhya had proposed a new program at a cost of Rs 298.84 billion under the Swadesh Darshan program. Works such as the construction of nine-kilometer long ghats on the banks of the Saryu River and the development of basic facilities for tourists are carried out. This project will make the pilgrims’ way to Ayodhya easier.

The new plans of the Swadesh Darshan Scheme include Kaushambi and Sankisa tourism development under Buddhist circle, Ganga tour under spiritual circle, Naimisharanya and Misrikh tourism development, Kranti path (1857) under heritage tour, Hastinapur (Dropadeshwar, Pandeshwar Mahadev, Draupadi Ghat Tourism Mirzapur, Chunar, Sitamarhi, Sonbhadra and Bundelkhand will be developed at an estimated cost of $ 497.99 billion as part of the ecotourism tour.

Union Minister Prahlad Singh Patel assured that the proposals for new plans for the Swadesh Darshan Scheme would be approved as a matter of priority. He also directed officials from the Archaeological Department of India to submit a report on Shravasti’s protected heritage within seven days. He ordered all ongoing central projects to be completed by November as a matter of priority.
