Virgin Hotels New Orleans was put together by an excellent team of Mathes Brierre Architects, CallisonRTKL Architects and Logan Killen Interiors and has an impressive pedigree.

The lifestyle hotel brand from Virgin Group founder Sir Richard Branson gave guests a taste of what to expect at their upcoming hotel, which features multiple F&B venues as well as a rooftop pool.

A reflection of the neighborhood

Virgin Hotels New OrleansThe project, slated to open on Labor Day (September 6, 2021), is attractively located in the city’s warehouse district amid a growing number of restaurants, galleries and shops. The new building is located on 550 Baronne Street near the central business district.

The hotel aims to tell a story about the neighborhood it is in, supported by interiors from local company Logan Killen Interiors. The property should be characterized in particular by the combination of a southern feeling of living with tropical architectural motifs and Virgin’s characteristic fun and elegant style.

“With Virgin Group’s rich history in the music industry and our passion for food and culture, New Orleans is a natural fit for growing the Virgin Hotels brand,” said New Orleans James Bermingham, CEO of Virgin Hotels.

“Each of our hotels is rooted in the communities in which we operate and Virgin Hotels New Orleans is no exception. We are inspired by the vibrant culture of the city and have created a hotel that celebrates local art, design and music in a unique way of the Virgin. We can’t wait to open our doors on Labor Day and invite both locals and visitors for a truly personal experience in the special city of New Orleans. “

Virgin Hotels New Orleans is being developed by the Buccini / Pollin Group, which selected Mathes Brierre Architects, CallisonRTKL Architects and Broadmoor Construction to complete the property.
