The County’s Economic Development will host the 2021 West Coast Tourism Summit in Ontario later this month.

The Summit is a free, virtual, two-day conference available to Huron County’s tourism operators and stakeholders on January 25th from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm

Destination Think’s William Bakker will discuss tourism market trends with a focus on the tourism landscape before and after COVID.

Participants will learn about goals that are re-imagining with the aim of reconstruction – taking into account both the economy and the environment.

A facilitated breakout session will focus on how players in the Huron County’s tourism sector can work together to achieve a successful recovery from COVID-19.

On January 26th from 9:00 am to 11:30 am, Chris Hughes of BC Hughes will share the benefits of rural tourism and how operators can leverage this benefit to adapt to changing tourism trends.
