One of the many reasons the sequel to Speed is considered very inferior is that Keanu Reeves – who was in the first film Sandra Bullock – did not come back. And now Keanu has revealed why he signed out.

Jason Isaacs replaces Reeves in Speed 2.
He admitted that while he wanted to work with Sandra again, there were some issues with the concept that kept him from doing it. “I loved playing Jack Tavern and I loved speed – but an ocean liner?” He said.

As mentioned, Reeves and Bullock loved working together at first speed and they stayed friends afterwards. Sandra recently divided a story about how Keanu surprised her with champagne and truffles after the release of Speed.
