KOHLER, Wis .– (BUSINESS WIRE) – Historic Hotels of America® and Historic Hotels Worldwide® are proud to announce the winners of the 2021 Historic Hotels Awards of Excellence. The Historic Hotels Awards of Excellence recognize and recognize the best historic hotels and hoteliers from the United States and around the world.
The winners were honored on Thursday, November 11th, at a special evening ceremony and gala at the American Club Resort Hotel. The awards were presented in front of an audience of more than 200 industry leaders, property owners, executives and representatives of the best historic hotels. Nineteen Historic Hotels of America Awards of Excellence were presented in multiple categories including Historic Hotels of America Hotelier of the Year, Historic Hotels of America Hotel Historian of the Year, Historic Hotels of America Best Historic Resort, Historic Hotels of America Lifetime Achievement, and Others . Three Historic Hotels Worldwide Awards of Excellence were presented to Historic Hotels Worldwide as the best historic hotel in Europe, Historic Hotels Worldwide as the best historic hotel in Asia and the Pacific, and Historic Hotels Worldwide as the best historic hotel in America.
The winners were selected from nominated finalists representing many of the most iconic and well-known historic hotels. The 2021 Historic Hotels Awards of Excellence nominees were nominated by historic hotels, heritage conservationists, past award winners, community leaders, and senior executives from Historic Hotels of America and Historic Hotels Worldwide. As official programs of the National Trust for Historic Preservation (in the United States), Historic Hotels of America and Historic Hotels Worldwide recognize the finest in history for travelers, civic leaders, and the global cultural, heritage, and historical travel market that includes member hotels Hotels in the United States and around the world.
