The Danish Clara Tauson won her first WTA title with a 6: 4: 6: 1 win over the Swiss qualifier Viktorija Golubic in the final of the Lyon Open in France on Sunday.
The 18-year-old Tauson scored seven aces in an hour in the 29-minute victory and was able to fend off five of eight breakpoints.
Tauson, currently ranked 139th in the world, also won their only previous meeting against Golubic in January 6-0, 4-6, 6-3.

Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur got off to a strong start, beating Katerina Siniakova 6-2, 6-3 as the main draw game began in the United Arab Emirates
Jabeur converted four out of nine breaks and shot four aces in the 65-minute game.
The Russian Veronika Kudermetova, the French Alize Cornet and the Latvian Anastasija Sevastova were also eliminated from the round of 16.
