hotel Franchising Wyndham company Hotels & Resorts, which operates around 9,000 hotels in nearly 95 countries, announced on Monday that it had expanded its presence across India to include four new hotels in destinations such as Jaipur, Varanasi, Mohali and Udaipur under the Ramada, Howard Johnson by Wyndham, and the upscale Wyndham brands.

With the new openings, Wyndham will reach 50 hotels in India. The chain has a development pipeline of around 30 hotels, eight of which are expected to open in 2022.

Panos Loupasis, Vice President, Development for Middle East, Eurasia & Africa, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts EMEA, said these four openings represent a significant milestone in the chain’s continued growth goals to offer more accommodation options across the country. “We look forward to continuing our strong growth here and on the wider Indian subcontinent and making travel possible for everyone in such a beautiful and diverse region,” he added.

The Wyndham Chandigarh Mohali opened in October and offers 80 guest rooms, the Ramada by Wyndham Varanasi Katesar in Varanasi is a 68-room hotel, while the Ramada by Wyndham Jaipur North, expected to open in December, is a 107-room hotel .

Howard Johnson by Wyndham Udaipur Roop Nagar is expected to open at the end of the year and has 94 rooms.

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts operates a portfolio of 22 hotel brands including Super 8, Days Inn, Ramada, Microtel, La Quinta, Baymont, Wingate, AmericInn, Hawthorn Suites, Trademark Collection and Wyndham.
