UnCruise Adventures announced that due to high consumer demand, there will be a major comeback relaunch in Alaska sooner than expected.

UnCruise Adventures confirmed on May 3, 2021 that there will be three crossings in the Pacific Northwest after Washington State’s COVID-19 protocols impacted scheduled departure dates.

Instead of canceling it, the company saved the long-awaited adventure cruises of dozens of guests and offered them an alternate itinerary from Juneau, Alaska that covered guest flight prices and hotels to ensure a memorable experience.

The company’s CEO, Captain Dan Blanchard, announced that he would also take historical walks around Juneau before each embarkation.

“When changes were recently made to our Seattle departures, I knew I couldn’t disappoint our guests with another cancellation. Some of our guests have waited two or three years for this cruise, ”Blanchard said in a press release.

“It makes me proud to see my team go into action and ready to do whatever it takes to make this one of the biggest comebacks we’ve ever had.”

On May 7, 2021, UnCruise kicks off the company’s first full Alaska season, spanning six adventure routes with 22 to 86 guests, led by a fully vaccinated crew. Due to the company’s recent policy change, all guests are required to provide proof of vaccination to begin their Great Country adventure.

UnCruise Adventures emerged from the COVID-19 pandemic as a leader in the cruise industry and continues to work with local, state and national representatives to advance travel initiatives.

Commenting on his company’s return in 2021, Captain Blanchard said, “After a challenging year, we continue to win the trust of our partners and guests with our safety policies and our commitment to the return of a strong and healthy cruise industry.”

“We understand the importance of cruise lines in the Alaska economy and the return to sailing is the future of my business,” said Blanchard. “Vaccinations are increasing, and data has shown that Alaska outperformed other states during the pandemic.”

“There is hope on the horizon and Alaska is open to us this season!”

The Alaskan UnCruise Adventures summer season includes departures from Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan, as well as the fully vaccinated crew and guests.
