Costa Rica is becoming increasingly solidified as a LGBTIQ + friendly travel destination. The Central American country attracts the attention of community members who are looking for a travel destination that offers them not only dream places but also respect for their preferences.

Despite the restrictions that have existed in recent months, Costa Rica has become popular with LGTBI travelers. Throughout the area there are natural attractions welcoming these travelers who, like any other tourist, show them respect.

Recently, the country was highlighted as one of the trending community destinations by the recommendations of gay travel agents and is the only one in Central America to be on the list.

A diverse travel destination

San José and Quepos have been the two most popular destinations for LGBTQ + tourism in Costa Rica and likely Central America for many years. Recently, as Guanacaste has grown tremendously as a preferred vacation destination, the beaches along the Nicoya Peninsula have become another preferred travel destination. Nearby, the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park attracts ecotourism, making it a popular spot away from the bright lights, noisy city life, and other commercial influences.

Some popular LGBTQ + friendly travel destinations in the Latin American country are: San José, Quepos, Cocles, Manuel Antonio, Alajuela, Tamarindo, Quebrada, Ganado, Escazú, Atenas, Jacó, Heredia.
