Elizabeth Olsen has confirmed that the Scarlet Witch can travel between universes, a power implied but never directly shown WandaVision.

Olsen casually revealed this information on the Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast (WandaVision is said to be a top contender for the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series Emmy this year). At one point in the discussion she said that her character was “Has some funny powers. You know, telekinesis, she can travel between universes …”

WandaVision alluded to the Multiverse in the fake Nexus commercial in episode 7, implying that Wanda Maximoff was trying to travel between universes to find her sons Tommy and Billy in the post-credits scene from the last episode.

WandaVision is set to tie in with the events of the upcoming films Spider-Man: No Way Home and Doctor Strange in the Multiversum of Madness, in which Olsen stars. It is far from certain that Wanda’s now-confirmed universe-traveling powers will be a major factor in the madness to come.

WandaVision was written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman. Elizabeth Olsen plays Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes.
